Cancellation Button 2026: The 7-point checklist for your store

From 19 June 2026, online cancellation must be as easy as concluding the contract. A footer text alone is no longer enough.

A key requirement is the two-step flow: a clearly labelled cancellation button and a final confirmation on the next screen.

After submission, merchants must send an electronic receipt confirmation without delay.
